DESCRIPTION:KPIX Field Trip is CANCELLED until further notice.\nVES Bay Area is very disappointed to announce that today’s studio tour at KPIX-TV has been cancelled. The KPIX team has encountered some last-minute schedule changes and cannot host the VES visitors at this time. They send sincere apologies for this late cancellation and would like to arrange a make-up day — date and time will be determined in the near future. We’ll reach out with more info when we have it. Thank you for your patience and understanding. \n–  VES Bay Area Board \n  \nExclusive tour of the Real-time Virtual Studio facilities at KPIX in San Francisco \nDATE CHANGE – TOUR NOW ON WEDNESDAY\, 10/29 \nWednesday\, 10/29/25 (6pm-8pm PDT) \nKPIX Studios\, 855 Battery St.\, San Francisco \nCome witness a live demo of the latest in news broadcasting at the KPIX studios near the historic waterfront district in San Francisco! \nTheir news programs and weather reports feature real-time greenscreen keying and compositing over a real-time rendering of a Unreal Engine 3d environment. \nThis proved to be a very popular and rewarding excursion for the small group that got to do this last year. If you DID attend last year\, please do not sign up for this\, and allow other VES members the chance to be part of this tour. \nWe’ll get a specialized tech talk with the production and management team.
