Sam Salek
I am a VFX supervisor, compositing artist, and pipeline developer currently based in Japan, working across animation and visual effects production.
Having graduated from the National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA) in Bournemouth, UK, and having worked at some of the industry’s leading studios, including Framestore and Industrial Light & Magic, I developed a strong understanding of the principles, collaboration, and craftsmanship behind high-end visual effects production. Over the years, I have built a keen interest in compositing and look development, while gradually growing into production supervision with a strong focus on cinematic storytelling and efficient team workflows.
Alongside production work, I develop custom tools and automation systems for Foundry Nuke to help streamline complex production environments.
I have always been passionate about the intersection of art and technology, and I enjoy collaborating with artists, directors, and technical teams to build workflows that support both creativity and production efficiency. As a member of the Visual Effects Society, I look forward to connecting with others in the industry and continuing to learn and contribute to the evolving world of visual effects and animation.
