Sagar Deokar

I am a Lighting TD around 8 years of experience bringing stories to life through cinematic lighting for films, series, animation, commercials, and games. My work blends artistic sensitivity with technical precision, shaped by years of hands-on production at leading studios.

​I am a graduate of Rubika, Supinfocom, where I built a solid foundation in CG storytelling and visual design.

​Recent credits include Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, Venom The last Dance, Masters of the Air, Meg 2: The Trench, The Garfield Movie, and That Christmas. I’ve also lit more than 70 commercials for brands like Sony, Lenovo, Panasonic, TCL, and more.

​I’ve worked with studios such as DNEG, Giant Animation, HMX Media, and Cubix Animation, contributing to major productions for Netflix, Nickelodeon, Warner Bros., and Apple TV+.

​Starting out as a generalist gave me a strong grasp of the full 3D pipeline, but lighting quickly became my core focus. I work closely with directors and supervisors to shape mood, depth, and narrative clarity through light and composition.​
