Robert Bonstin

A veteran film and video technician, editor and supervisor with over 30 years in the business.  I started out as a videotape operator at a post production facility in San Francisco, CA which let to a career in visual effects for feature film.  I worked as Technical Operations Supervisor at ILM for 14 years before transitioning to visual effects editor and associate editor at Lucasfilm, Base VFX and Method Studios.

I'm currently serving as a video technician in Silicon Valley.  When I'm not working on state of the art productions and post, I'm a singer and songwriter, recording and touring with my band The Bonstones.

Role with the VES

So far I've taken a passive role with the VES but I hope to change that and become more involved.
