Patricia "Rose" Duignan

Rose started her career in production at Industrial Light & Magic on the original Star Wars, released in 1977. After 20+ years at ILM moving up ladder from production coordinator to Production Supervisor, she started the first Marketing/Sales department at ILM and led that effort for another 10 years. She co authored the ILM Ballantine coffee table book entitled; ILM: Into the Digital Realm.

In addition, Rose has done sales and executive producing for Rhythm & Hues, Tippett Studio, Kerner Optical.  She is currently retired and dedicating her time to the VES Education Committee's School Outreach as well as offering advice to young people at ElderWisdomCircle.org.  She is also the proud grandmother of five so far!

Role with the VES

Rose has served multiple times in the LA Board of Directors for VES; most recently from 2016-2020. She is currently (2021) playing a very active role in developing and implementing the Mentorship Initiative through VES' Education Committee.
