Ludovic Iochem

I’m a VFX executive with experience leading teams through growth and technical challenges, blending creative and operational leadership across VFX for Films and Television.

The first decade of my career was spent hands-on as an artist and supervisor, specializing in Digital Matte Painting. I was drawn to the most technically and creatively complex aspects of the craft and contributed to developing Matte Painting Projection techniques and integrating them into VFX pipelines.
Over the last ten years, I’ve taken on leadership roles focused on managing change and improving collaboration. As Head of CG at DNEG, I led teams in London and Montreal while working closely with Vancouver and India to refine global workflows. More recently, as Head of Studio at MPC Montreal, I broadened my scope to business strategy, production, and studio operations, gaining a deeper understanding of how to make a VFX studio run efficiently.

Today, I am starting my own company, Sharpen Edges, providing services as On set VFX Supervisor, VFX Supervisor and Art Director.

I believe in leading by example—being hands-on when needed, supporting my teams, and fostering an environment where people can do their best work.
