LISA SEPP-WILSON: VFX Producer | EP | On-Set VFX Supervisor
For nearly 30 years, Lisa Sepp-Wilson has served in roles as a Visual Effects Producer, On-Set VFX Supervisor, and VFX Unit Director, as well as Studio Founder/Owner, Global Managing Director and Head of Production, in Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Bangalore and Rome. Notable credits include: Equalizer 3; A Haunting in Venice; The Hardy Boys; Beacon 23; Slumberland; The North Water; Run; Shazam; VICE; A Dog’s Purpose 2; Breakthrough; American Gods; Preacher; Sanctuary; Masters of Horror; Butterfly Effect 2; Tin Man; Neverland; Earthsea; 10.5; Aftershock: Earthquake in New York; ReBoot.
Throughout her career, Lisa has been nominated for five Emmy Awards for Outstanding Visual Effects, two Visual Effects Society Awards, won two Gemini Awards (four nominations), won two out of five Leo Awards, and was most recently honored with a Canadian Screen Award nomination.
Lisa is a voting member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS), as well as the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television (ACCT), and Women in Film/TV Toronto (WIFT-T). She has been a member of the Visual Effects Society (VES) since 1999, and is currently serving her third term on the VES Global Executive Board of Directors. Lisa also served two terms on the VES - Toronto Section Board of Managers, where she also held the role as Treasurer for both terms. In 2019, she was invited to join the Advisory Board for Langara College’s Centre for Entertainment Arts (CET) Visual Effects program, a satellite of the Art Academy University of San Francisco, where she served and mentored for three years.
When not on set or in the office, Lisa enjoys spending time with her two teenage boys, her dog, and entertaining friends and family at home and at the cottage.
