Jeffrey R. Foster

Jeff Foster is a visual technologist, producer and writer; exploring the current trends in video, animation and visual effects. He is on the forefront in the world of generative AI and the integration of these tools for VFX and corporate communications. He's a regular staff writer/reviewer for ProVideo Coalition and presents current trends in technology at various conferences.

For over 35 years Jeff has not only produced visual content, but also provided training for traditional and digital images, video, illustration, animation, motion graphics and special effects. His training videos are for Photoshop, After Effects, Animation, Green Screen production and most recently specializing in POV cams and video production for indie filmmakers that include UAV/drone photography & videography. He has also authored several technology books, including "The Green Screen Handbook" and the "Photoshop Web Magic" series and has presented current production trends through many conferences, seminars and online channels over the years.

Jeff was most recently serving as the Sr Manager & Producer of the Global MarCom Video & Imaging Services for Bio-Rad Laboratories Life Sciences division; a group that he developed to support their marketing communications and product/service groups with video productions, animations, 3D imagery and product photography. He integrated AI video and audio techniques into the group's production pipelines for developing corporate communications and product photography before his departure in November, 2024.

He currently resides in Charlotte, NC and completed VFX work on a feature film, "Cheech & Chong's Last Movie", released in Spring, 2025.
