Ivan Moran

With 30 years experience in the Visual Effects industry, Ivan has worked on some of the highest profile feature films in modern cinema; including The Wachowski's 'The Matrix Reloaded', Peter Jackson's 'The Lord of the Rings', Denis Villeneuve's 'Arrival', Christopher Nolan's 'The Dark Knight' and most recently Todd Phillips' visually stylish 'Joker: Folie à Deux'.

With expertise in disguising spectacular visual effects, Ivan is at the forefront of true Special Visual Effects: practical filmed photography, selectively and thoughtfully augmented with VFX. Avoiding all-CG solutions that quickly veer from reality, Ivan designs and executes Visual Effects with practical Special Effects (SPFX) and Stunts as their backbone.

As an artist, Ivan composited the acclaimed birth shot in Alfonso Cuarón's 2006 masterpiece: 'Children of Men' as well as leading a compositing team on Peter Jackson's multi award winning Lord of The Rings films.

As Creative Director and VFX Supervisor, Ivan is a creative and technical specialist skilled in producing creatures or visual effects of any kind. All with a grounding in reality, photographic principles and science.

Ivan's credits are extensive and top-shelf, and he has worked alongside Oscar winning directors and filmmakers on a multitude of high profile films.
