Greg Groenekamp
Greg Groenekamp, a graduate of Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, is best Know for his work as a Sr. & Lead Nuke Compositor.
After 25 years of node base compositing he still loves going to work everyday. Greg's start in this industry was from behind the lens often shooting in-camera effects for automotive advertising and then transitioning into Visual Effects. Greg brings to the table a positive attitude, great creativity, and strong problem solving; all that builds on his experience working on 80+ feature films and broadcast projects.
Greg’s work has been honored by the Visual Effects Society with a Nomination for "Outstanding Outstanding Compositing of the Year. He has also been honored with a Prime time Emmy Award Cert for Outstanding Visual Effects.
Iron Man 3, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Snow White and the Huntsman, Alice in Wonderland, 2012, Iron Man, Pirates of the Caribbean III, National Treasure: Book of Secrets, Scorpion King, are but a few of the films to his Credit.
During the years, he has been fortunate to have work at many of the top Post Production houses: Digital Domain, Weta Digital, Netflix, Sony Imageworks, Asylum VFX, POP/Riot, Cinesite, Centropolis Effects, and Rhythm & Hues.
Role with the VES
Served as one of the founding members of the Awards Committee working to develop the award program. Served on the awards sub committee for the design of the physical award.
