Gonzalo Carrión

Graduated in Fine Arts with a Master's in 3D and an MBA, Gonzalo began his career as a CG Artist in Daiquiri in 1988 and has worked in different companies such as Telson, Mad Pix Company, and Molinare.
In 2004, he founded his company, La Bombilla VFX, where he served as CEO and VFX Supervisor until 2016, developing himself on a business and creative level.
In 2016, he joined El Ranchito,where he led its restructuring, professionalization, building its culture, improving its technical capacities and performance, doubled its value, and served as General Manager until its sale to a New York investment fund.
As President of AEPA and Vice President of DIBOOS and ALIA, and formerly of PROFILM, he plays an active lobbying role for the Spanish animation and VFX industry, participating in negotiations related to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, the Artist’s Statute, the Film Law, and improvements to international tax incentives. He has contributed to publications such as the Spanish White Book of Animation and VFX and the Spanish White Book of Virtual Production, and collaborates and serves as a lecturer at universities including Carlos III, UTAD, and Voxel. He currently works as an executive business consultant, attracting international investment to Spain.
