Carlos Fueyo
Carlos Fueyo is a filmmaker, director, and virtual production and VFX supervisor with a career spanning over a decade in film, tv, and advertisement. His ability to merge design, storytelling, and cutting-edge technology has made him a key collaborator on major productions, including Avengers: Age of Ultron, Super 8, Independence Day: Resurrection, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, 3 Body Problem, and Ant-Man and the Wasp: QUANTUMANIA.
Carlos began his career in architecture, where he honed his skills in digital world-building. His early work recreating designs and collaborating with Lebbeus Woods not only earned him direct recognition from the legendary architect but also set the foundation for his transition into film. This background in architecture continues to influence his approach to production - he sees filmmaking as an interplay between structure, composition, and storytelling, bringing a designer’s eye to every frame.
His expertise expanded into VFX and virtual production, where he became a Visual Effects Supervisor. His work includes bringing Vision to life in Avengers: Age of Ultron with a complex digital head replacement, Creating an explosive train crash in Super 8. and a giant hangar in Independence Day: Resurgence. He has since led Virtual Art Departments and in-camera VFX teams for major productions, bridging the gap between art direction, cinematography, and real-time technology.
Carlos’s leadership style is built on trust, collaboration, and adaptability. He believes the best creative environments are those where artists feel empowered to experiment, problem-solve, and push boundaries. His experience managing tight deadlines and high-pressure projects has reinforced his philosophy that strong teams thrive on clear communication and shared vision - not just technical expertise.
Looking ahead, Carlos is focused on pioneering new storytelling techniques through real-time workflows and AI-driven filmmaking, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in film, TV, and immersive media. He continues to develop original IP, including projects like Replica and Exodus, blending cinematic storytelling with innovative production strategies.
Outside of his professional work, Carlos is a dedicated father and husband, always finding time for his family. Whether he’s directing, designing, or refining production techniques, his goal is to foster relationships and create excellent work together.
