Role with the VES

I have been on the global VES Board of Directors for the past ten years. I was also chair of the London Section from 2014-17. Over the years I have taken it on board to help expand the role of the VES internationally - at the moment around half the membership is based in California yet vfx has spread across the world. As the VES is the only organisation uniting visual effects artists, it is a worthy opportunity for all of us. I am dedicated to upping the profile of the VES and increasing sponsorship as well as persuading more people to join the VES, not only because of the perks that we get but also because this supports the only organisation batting for all of us. We act more strongly if we show ourselves as a community of visual effects practitioners, and this is what the VES is.
