Adam McInnes

Now co-owner and company Director of Treehouse VFX, Adam is a BAFTA®, EMMY® and VES Award Winning VFX Supervisor and Producer, and former Netflix Studio Executive. Proficient in high volume/high complexity series and film work, environments, world-building, fx and creature animation. Well versed in Virtual Production, world capture, previs, mo-cap, realtime AR/Simulcam and in-camera VFX (LED Volume).

As the founding member of the Netflix UK VFX Studio Executive team Adam was Director of VFX overseeing Series (scripted and un-scripted) and Film (UK and International Original Film), hired the original London based title management team, and worked closely with US and EMEA counterparts at a time of rapid growth and content production, also navigating our way through the pandemic. He returned to production side in 2022 to pursue his passion for the creative and innovative side of visual effects, leaning increasingly into virtual production with a holistic overview for the future of digital production blurring the traditional boundaries across departments.

Over twenty years prior freelance experience as a film and high-end TV series VFX supervisor, producing supervisor, consultant and digital artist working with some of the UK’s top vendors and independently for productions.

Solid technical and artistic grounding in production starting with BBC Television, working up from entry level Technical Assistant, through Lighting and Vision Assistant in Studio Operations, to eight years as Video Effects Supervisor
