SUMMARY:6th Annual VES Awards
DESCRIPTION:It’s been our good fortune to have a Golden Compass guide us on our amazing visual effects tour this past year.  We gazed in wonderment at the sights we saw as our tour sped us by some really cool Transformers\, Spiderman\, and Pirates (every one was a real Legend)\, along the way.  With over 300 great places to see and experience\, we barely had time to stop for a little bit of Ratatouille or all the other visual effects delicacies along the way.  And there were many of them to be savored! \nThis past year was a rich one indeed for visual effects.  In 2007 we were entertained by some incredible effects in film\, TV\, animation\, video games and special venues that just knock your socks off.  What’s even more amazing is that the person we are honoring tonight with a Lifetime Achievement Award- Steven Spielberg- has been a leading artist and innovator in virtually every visual effects medium for more than thirty years\, and he’s still exploring new ways to tell great stories in collaboration with all the magnificent artists in this room tonight. \nLocation: Kodak Grand Ballroom.
