DESCRIPTION:A Festival of Visual Effects\n	Visual effects has developed into one of the most important tools for the contemporary story-teller.  The use of visual effects has allowed new vistas to open for features\, television\, commercials\, music videos and large screen entertainment.  Filmmakers\, by using these tools\, have been given an opportunity to greatly expand the scope of their visions and entertain their audiences. \nTechnology certainly plays an important role in the production of visual effects.  Although technology has greatly expanded the capabilities of the visual effects professional\, the art of visual effects is still the most important aspect of the process.  VES ’99: A Festival of Visual Effects is a forum for the best visual effects artists in the world to have an opportunity to share their techniques for visual effects production. \nIt is with great pleasure that the Visual Effects Society presents VES ’99: A Festival of Visual Effects.
