SUMMARY:Special Studio Screening: Burnt -New Zealand
DESCRIPTION:NZ VES with the generous participation of Roadshow Film Distributors is pleased to invite you and your guest to a special screening of John Well’s Burnt. \n	\n	time:  7.45pm \n\n	 \n\n	date:  Wednesday 18th November \n\n	 \n\n	venue:  Camperdown Cinema\, Wellington \n\n	 \n\n	Chef Adam Jones (Bradley Cooper) had it all – and lost it. To land his own kitchen and that third elusive Michelin star he’ll need the best of the best on his side\, including the beautiful Helene (Sienna Miller). Burnt is a remarkably funny story about the love of food\, the love between two people and the power of second chances. \n	Burnt also features performances by Omar Sy\, Emma Thompson\, Daniel Brühl\, Alicia Vikander\, Uma Thurman and Lily James \n	Burnt is directed by John Wells (August: Osage County) from a screenplay by Steven Knight (Dirty Pretty Things) based on a story by Michael Kalesniko. The film is produced by Stacey Sher (Django Unchained) Michael Shamberg (Pulp Fiction) and Erwin Stoff (Unbroken). Director of Photography is Adriano Goldman (August: Osage County); Editor is Nick Moore (She’s Funny That Way); Composer is Rob Simonsen (Foxcatcher); Production Designer is David Gropman (Life of Pi); Costume Designer is Lyn Paolo (The Company Men). \n	For further information about the film please visit:  https://youtu.be/gTgl86_tIK4 \n\n		 \n\n Burnt is on now on national release in New Zealand.

DESCRIPTION:A24 & J.J. Abrams Invite VES Members and a Guest to Join Alex Garland & Oscar Isaac to a Special Screening of EX MACHINA \nCaleb Smith (Domhnall Gleeson)\, a programmer at an internet-search giant\, wins a competition to spend a week at the private mountain estate of the company’s brilliant and reclusive CEO\, Nathan Bateman (Oscar Isaac). Upon his arrival\, Caleb learns that Nathan has chosen him to be the human component in a Turing Test—charging him with evaluating the capabilities\, and ultimately the consciousness\, of Nathan’s latest experiment in artificial intelligence. That experiment is Ava (Alicia Vikander)\, an A.I. whose emotional intelligence proves more sophisticated––and more deceptive––than the two men could have imagined.
