VES-LA Community Game Nights

This is not just one event, but a multi-city tour aimed at connecting with members across the expansive span of the VES-LA Section! 

How it Works (Choose Your Own Adventure):

Your Nearest Stronghold: We encourage all members to attend the game night held in the city nearest to them. Check out the descriptions for each event as each of them are offering different experiences. It’s a perfect way to meet your neighbors in the industry and foster local connections.

Complete the Quest: For the truly adventurous, or those willing to explore new regions, you are welcome and invited to attend any and all of the three game nights! If you are willing to travel, we would love to see you. Each city offers a new opportunity to meet different VES colleagues.

The only stop on our Game Night Series with cold beer on tap — and your first round is on us!  We’re taking over a table at Hermosa Brewing Company, bringing the games, and settling in for a night of friendly competition with fellow VFX pros. No agenda, no pressure. Just good drinks, fun games and great company.  And did we mention there’s a food truck outside? Now THAT’s SO L.A.!

Step into the glow of Fire & Dice, Northridge’s own tabletop haven where dice hit the table, cards come alive, and every corner feels ready for a new campaign. Whether you’re a hardcore strategist or just want a fun, low-pressure night out with fellow VFX pros, pull up a chair and let the real world fade into the background.

Come out to Burbank’s ultimate nerd haven, Geeky Teas & Games, a delightfully eccentric community hub where life-size TARDIS doors and Daleks meet a cozy, welcoming sanctuary for gamers and Anglophiles alike. Step into this vibrant, welcoming space for an evening of epic tabletop campaigns and peruse the specialty fandom-inspired loose-leaf teas available for purchase. Leave the Hollywood grind behind for a night of pure, unadulterated geek camaraderie. VES LA will provide snacks. Bring your own beverages (non-alcoholic – save the mead for another quest).
