The VES Bay Area is excited to host a virtual conversation with the founders of the Society for Game Cinematics!
The SGC is a international nonprofit honorary society founded in 2022, whose mission is to advance the art and science of cinematics in game development. The group was formed to create a dedicated space for discussion and recognition of the work of game cinematics. They have since grown into a community bringing together thousands of cinematics professionals through in-person and virtual initiatives worldwide.
The SGC debuted their Cinematics Awards show in 2026, at GDC in San Francisco!
Moderated by VES Bay Area Chair Jeff A. Johnson, this forum offers VES members an opportunity to hear directly from these veterans and icons of the the game cinematics world, and to be able to post questions to them about their work bridging the worlds of games, film, and animation.
