VES Bay Area members and their guests are invited to a screening of Weapons this Sunday at the fabulous Grand Lake Theater in Oakland!

I believe this our first time holding a screening at the Grand Lake. We’re happy to support a local independent theater by purchasing tickets directly from them for you. Please RSVP only if you’re certain that you will attend.

Parking
The City of Oakland lot located under the 580 freeway has free spaces all day Sunday.  Metered street parking around the theater should be free as well on Sunday. Free spaces can also be found in the neighborhood surrounding the theater.

About Weapons
From New Line Cinema and Zach Cregger comes a new horror/thriller: Weapons.  When all but one child from the same class mysteriously vanish on the same night at exactly the same time, a community is left questioning who or what is behind their disappearance.  The film stars Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Cary Christopher, with Benedict Wong and Amy Madigan.
