The VES Bay Area Section Board as well as the Vision and Education Committees Invite VES Members, Siggraph SF Members and Zynga Guests to Brave New Worlds: The Artist’s Way.

Join us for an inspiring evening with visual effects artists and producers who have successfully left the world of feature film visual effects to use their skills and expertise in the brave new worlds of emerging technologies— games, virtual reality, space, software and more…

Panelists will include former Lighting TD Maggie Oh who is now a Lead VFX and Lighting Artist at NVidia, Technical Achievement Academy Award winning former Head of VFX at DreamWorks Animation Scott Peterson who’s now the FX Animation Director at Zynga, former filmmaker Dav Rauch who’s now a Creative Resident at IDEO and BAFTA winning VFX Supervisor formerly at PDI Henry LaBounta who’s now Chief Visual Officer at Zynga, with moderation by VES Bay Area Board member Laurie Blavin.
