AI RELIGHTING IN VFX WORKFLOWS

This event will introduce VES members to Beeble, an AI relighting and compositing tool for visual effects, post-production, and virtual production workflows. The session will examine how AI-assisted relighting can support artists by generating useful image-based passes, enabling lighting adjustments after capture, and helping integrate live-action footage into new environments or revised lighting conditions. The focus will be practical rather than promotional: where the technology works, where it still has limitations, how it may fit into existing compositing and production pipelines, and what VFX professionals should consider when evaluating AI relighting tools. The proposed format includes a product overview, workflow demonstration, and moderated discussion around artist control, production readiness, quality control, and responsible adoption.
